Bettering Our Relationship with Bees

A collaborative short film and research project exploring our ecological connection to bees — and what we stand to lose as they disappear.

Rooted in Manchester’s symbolism of the bee as a sign of resilience and community, the project blends choreography, immersive sound, and experimental camera work to evoke the rhythms of the hive. My role focused on photography and the creation of a visual research document — using still imagery and sourced material to help shape the tone and conceptual direction of the film.

Part film, part call to action, the project invites viewers to slow down, look closer, and reconnect with the small lives that sustain our world.
